Drivers :
- Team composition : minimal 3; maximal 5 drivers per team
- Driving time : total race time divided by the number of drivers entering for the team. Maximal tolerance on these driving times : 10 % of the average race time per driver. Before the start of the race, every team will be informed about the minimal and maximal driving time of its drivers.

Entry Fee :
- The entry fee will be 100.- EUR per team
- This fee covers:
a) the use of the hand-out motors, which will be reconditioned after every race
b) 5 pairs of rear wheels, which remain the team's property after the race
c) breakfast for all team members

Lane changes :
- The time in between lane changes should be limited to the time necessary for the race direction to set up the counter system for continuing the race in optimal conditions. It should normally not take more than 1 minute.
- It is allowed to work on the car during lane changes.
- It is the team's responsibility to change the car to the new lane and to apply the corresponding lane sticker. Race direction will re-apply power at the scheduled time, disregarding the presence or absence of any of the participating cars on the track.

Track calls :
- Since track calls are considered as race-time, it will be allowed to work on the cars during these calls.

Night conditions :
- The duration of the night conditions period will be 1/3 of the total race time. In case there are more participating teams than available lanes, not every team will have raced the same time under these night conditions.
- The cars must be equipped with at least two white head-lights and two red tail-lights, at the same positions as on the 1:1 car. At least 2 front lights and 2 tail lights must be operating visibly during this part of the race determined as "night conditions".. In case of a defective light, the car has to be stopped immediately for repair. Any laps made without operating head- and/or tail-lights during the period defined as "night conditions", will be ignored.

General Behaviour :
Racing model slot cars requires a high degree of concentration both from the drivers and the marshals, therefore:

A) DRIVERS
1) Drivers are requested not to shout at marshals as this does not aid their concentration it just makes their life harder. After all the marshal is there to put your car back in the slot after YOU have fallen out.
2) Drivers should not spend their time on the rostrum in endless conversation with other drivers, this is disruptive and not appreciated by the other drivers. It may be that at some point a driver may ask a slower driver next to them to let them through but there is NO excuse for abusive or loud behaviour.
3) Drivers should realise the following:
a) In almost all races there are cars of different speeds racing at the same time.
b) If you are racing next to a faster car then it is essential that you give way to that car by letting them through on the straight (do not back off in a bend to let anyone through, this causes major problems for everyone).
c) It is pointless trying to outrun a faster car when entering bends - all you will achieve is major carnage, including your own car.
d) Drivers must realise that the car on the inside of the bend has possession when entering a corner.
e) Trying to overtake on the outside of a bend is foolhardy and often results in more problems for yourself.
f) Drivers of slower cars should be aware of faster cars and the drivers of faster cars should use their advantage on the straights to pass.

B) MARSHALS
Generally your team will be required to supply a Marshall for the entire race.
1) In slot racing whether we like it or not there have to be marshals, everyone wants to race, but everyone also has to marshal and it is a very important aspect of the racing. The cars racing are expensive and you are required by your position as marshal to try and ensure minimal damage is caused to these cars during the race and that the track is kept clear for the racers.
2) Marshals must pay attention to their corner. It is very tempting to watch the race but that is not why you are there, you are in your corner to marshal!
3) If a car comes out of the slot in front of you:
a) Pick it up! - well clear of the track to ensure it does not cause an obstruction to other cars.
b) Check the number on the front of the car and replace the car in the correct slot. Pay attention to other cars on the track and do not knock out other cars when you are placing the car in your hand back on the track.
4) If more than one car comes out at a time - the car that caused the accident gets put on last.
5) If a multiple accident happens in your corner (more than 3 cars at one time), call "TRACK" and the race controller will stop the track to allow you to correct the problem.
6) Occasionally, some teams may have junior or novice racers. If this is the case some may not either have the experience or indeed the stature to marshal efficiently. Adult or experienced team members are asked to assist in corners if this is the case.

C) SPECTATORS
Are of course more than welcome at all events, HOWEVER : they are requested to watch the race from a position where they do not obstruct the drivers, marshals or race controller. During the race spectators are expected to remain silent and not disrupt the concentration of any of the active racers, marshals or race controller. Young children must be kept under strict control by parents.

D) GENERAL
At any point during the race, if a driver or marshal feels that their concentration is being distracted by another driver, marshal or spectator he may call "TRACK" at which point the race controller will stop the track and either issue a warning, a penalty, or in the case of a noisy spectator, ask them to desist, or, leave the premises.

Compliance with the Technical rules :
- Technical inspections will be held by the race direction unannounced. At least 3 inspections will take place during the race. Following items will be checked during these inspections :
  -  Ground clearance on chassis and body
 -  Rear wheels (unique race direction mark on the rims)
  -  Rear axle width
  -  Front and rear wheel diameter
  -  Motor compliance (unique race direction mark on the motor)
  -  Body compliance (visually)
- The cars should comply at any time with the technical specifications. The organiser of the race can, if in doubt about the compliance of one of the cars, at all time ask for the advice of a technical commission constituted from the participating teams.
- The controllers used by the drivers may only regulate the supplied power. Any voltage or current enhancing devices are strictly forbidden.

Penalties :
- Following penalties will be applied in case of infraction against common and technical rules:
- Rear ground clearance and width : the team will have to correct the problem and the car re-inspected during race-time, after inspection and approval the car can re-enter the race.
- Body compliance : the body failing on technical inspection will have to be repaired and returned to the technical inspection for approval, before re-entering the race.
- Motor and rear wheel compliance : running an illegal motor or rear wheels will be sanctioned with a 1000 laps penalty for the first infraction, to be deducted at the end of the race. A second infraction will lead to immediate disqualification of the concerned team
- Driving time : any laps made by a driver outside of his allowed driving time frame, will be ignored.
- Use of any illegal controllers and/or accessories will lead to immediate disqualification of the concerned team.
